Welcome and thanks for popping in to............
The Home of the Bikers Original Buttflap.
A new motorcycle product for 2010.... site last updated 21.5.2010
The front mudguard extender has been with us many years, now you
can protect the back of your motorcycle with this original & uniquely
designed ButtFlap.
What does a Buttflap do, It helps eliminate or greatly reduce debris
and spray that aligns with the rear tyre reducing flicking up, protecting the pillions
back, the back of the motorcycle; tail light, rear seat and bodywork, your rack
& topbox if fitted, regretfully it keeps your number plate cleaner also. (see Diagram A
below).
Comments from a
Scottish Biker… let me state to the none believers, as tested last weekend on a 911
mile run in snow rain sh1t covered roads it does keep a very large amount of
crud off the back of the bike & luggage not to mention my pillion, furthermore it is also approved by a wee Muppet, Fozzie gave it a big
Woka Woka & thumbs up. - Fozzy being the wife’s backpack ‘fozzy bear’.

What bikes will the Buttflap fit to, just about any that have a rear number plate fitted;
sports bikes, sports tourers, tourers, cruisers, scooters, mopeds,
How does it work, tell me more,
Once fitted the Buttflap
will also help reduce the possibility of stones/grit being flicked up on to
your mate’s bikes, your mate or their helmet visors when they are following you;
it supersedes the old fashioned mudflap
by covering the area immediately above the flick off point from the rear
tyre. It is designed to overlay the area
behind the rear tyre forcing debris & water spray into the motorcycles natural
slipstream. At slower speed it does the
same good job also, in fact a conventional hanging mudflap would need to be about
300mm long to have the same effect (see Diagram A below). It does not affect the view of the bike when viewed from the rear,
the rear tyre will still be visible thereby keeping that ‘sports’ bike
appearance. From a few metres away the Buttflap is hardly visible.

cause of the problem and our solution
Image
showing the 4mm slim profile of the Buttflap.
The ButtFlap is made of four layers of composite fibreglass/polyester resin (Lloyds
approved) with a tough coloured gel coat top face giving a smooth hard polished finish, the
resin that bonds the fibreglass weave is also colour matched to the gel coat, yet the ButtFlap remains strong and light weight at under 4mm thick.

The Buttflap comes supplied with
installation instructions & fittings for mounting between your number plate and the bikes number plate mounting bracket/mud guard.
As the Buttflap is a universal part you may wish to use mounting bolts to attach it.
